Director of Information Systems

InfoPartners is recruiting an IS management professional for permanent placement within our IS Management Partnership service. This is an InfoPartners position supplied full-time, on-site to our client. Located in Alabama, conveniently between Birmingham and Atlanta, the 300-bed regional medical center has a rich tradition as a healthcare leader in northeastern Alabama, serving 250,000 citizens. The medical staff consists of over 185 physicians, representing all major specialties, and over 1,400 employees provide the human connection and caring spirit between technology and patient care.

Organizationally, this key IS Director position reports to the hospital's Chief Financial Officer. The IS team enjoys strong management support.

InfoPartners seeks an IS management professional with hospital systems and management experience, including clinical and financial systems and network administration. The individual must demonstrate an ability to manage large, complex systems, implementation projects that involve multiple stakeholder groups, and have excellent interpersonal and communications skills. Experience with McKesson (Star and Horizon applications) is a plus. A bachelor's degree and applicable healthcare IS/IT experience is required. Senior Consultant

The position involves diverse work on systems assessment, planning, selection, and implementation engagements.


InfoPartners is considering Information Systems professionals with expertise in Hospital Information Management, EMR, Document Imaging, Abstracting/Coding, Transcription, Quality Assurance, and Utilization Management systems. Department management, JCAHO survey and large-scale implementation experience is a plus. RHIA and Bachelor's degree are required. Previous experiences as hospital IS clinical systems analyst or systems vendor implementation specialist is applicable. Meditech experience is a plus.

Travel is required, but is manageable, and resources are provided to work out of your home. You will find our InfoPartners consulting team to be very knowledgeable in both systems and workflow/operational issues, working together in a cohesive, supportive, and professional manner.
