Mr. Baxter is responsible for the development of the firm’s Information Systems Management Partnership (ISMP), InfoPartners strategic management solution for healthcare information systems, as well as the general development and marketing needs of the firm. He also assists in recruiting key talent for InfoPartners.
Mr. Baxter came to InfoPartners from ClinTrials Research, Inc., a publicly traded, contract clinical research organization (CRO), where he managed global clinical drug trials for major pharmaceutical clients. During his three year tenure, he was also active in the development and management of the firm’s pharmacoeconomic and outcomes research efforts.
Prior to his CRO experience, Mr. Baxter held various marketing and operations positions with one of the largest clinical reference laboratories where he gained significant exposure to hospital and physician laboratory operations, contract management solutions, and complex regulatory issues. During his tenure, he also helped start a life insurance testing division.
Mr. Baxter has also served in a management development program for a venture capital funded, start-up health maintenance organization (HMO), as well as a research associate conducting primary research for a major academic medical center.
Mr. Baxter received his B.S. from Birmingham-Southern College and his Master of Business Administration from Vanderbilt University. He is a member of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) and serves as the firm's Corporate Representative for the Healthcare Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS).
